After clearing internal security, it didn't take me long to find a promising looking guide out of Stuart, FL by the name of John Meskauskas. John runs Stuart Fly Fishing and guides the Treasure Coast for snook, redfish, big jacks, cobia, tarpon and even sailfish! If you get a chance, pay John a visit....and I don't say that lightly. You'll be glad you did!
We had booked John for the second day of our trip which was forecasted to be a scorcher (as most days are in FL.) When we met John the morning of our outing, he took one glance at my pale-arse, fresh outta VT winter, about to get seriously fried complexion and promptly suggested I run (not walk) into the fly shop and grab a Buff. I honestly think John was more concerned that passing ships might have mistaken my gleaming white skin as a distress beacon, but I heeded his advice anyway and got myself a Buff!
Sportin' my new Buff! |
I was pretty apprehensive at first, but I soon realized why the Buff brand was taking off like wild fire! Even in 95 degrees these things are miraculously comfortable to wear. Buffs are breathable, offer UV protection and add a hint of ninja appeal to all that wear'em. I mean come on!....who doesn't like ninjas?
We scored a few Buffs for prizes in this years Pickle, so you could be one of the lucky ones!If you haven't gotten on the Buff Bandwagon yet, do yourselves a favor and check out the entire line of Buff Products at http://www.buffwear.com/
